Husk

Husk is one of two pods, round the back of the main farmhouse at Kelk Beck Glamping. It’s in Little Kelk, near Great Kelk. Very quiet. The view out the front is just fields.

It’s a pod, so everything is in one open room. Double bed, small sofa, a table with two chairs, and a kitchenette along one wall. There’s a Smart TV and WiFi. The shower and toilet are in a separate cubicle at the back. It’s a 4 Star, so it’s modern and clean.

Outside you’ve got your own deck with a hot tub. There’s a fire pit and a seating area. They’ve also got a shared games room in one of the outbuildings if the weather turns.

It’s on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, so good for walking straight from the door. For the coast, Bridlington is about a 20-minute drive. Has the beach, the harbour, the usual seaside stuff. Fraisthorpe Beach is a bit further down, good for a quieter walk.

If you like birds, RSPB Bempton Cliffs is maybe 25 minutes away. You can see the puffins in season. Burton Agnes Hall is a big old house with gardens, about a 15-minute drive. Driffield is the nearest market town, ten minutes for shops and a supermarket.

For a day out, York is roughly an hour’s drive. So is Scarborough.

In terms of what’s there: all the bedding and towels are included. The kitchen has an electric hob, microwave, fridge. There’s parking right next to the pod. No pets, sorry. You can book both pods together if you’re coming with another couple.
