The Old Ticket Office is what it says. It's the old railway ticket office on Blairmore Pier, right on the edge of Loch Long. It's detached, so you're on your own. The view is straight out over the loch. You can see it from every window.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one en-suite shower room. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's been done to a high standard, with things like underfloor heating. The main room is open plan, with a kitchen area and a woodburning stove.
There's a small garden at the front and a larger enclosed one to the side. You can bring one dog. The pier itself is historic. The Waverley paddle steamer still stops here in the summer.
Blairmore is quiet. You can walk along the shore from the pier. Dunoon is the nearest proper town for shops and cafes. It's about a ten minute drive.
You're well placed for getting out. You're right on the edge of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. The famous Cobbler hill is about a 20 minute drive for walkers. Puck's Glen is a beautiful wooded gorge, five minutes away by car. Benmore Botanic Garden is just past that.
For a day out, you can drive down the coast to places like Tighnabruaich. You can get a ferry from Colintraive to the Isle of Bute.
What's here: parking on the pier, WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included.
