Fern Cottage is in Ardentinny, right on the shore of Loch Long. It's a small, quiet place. You're basically in the Argyll Forest, so you can walk out the door and straight onto the tracks.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. It's an old listed building, so the walls are stone, there's wood panelling, and the staircase is the original cast iron and wood one. It's fairly steep, just so you know.
You're about fifteen seconds from the loch side. There's a private mooring if you have a boat, or you can just sit there. People fish from the shore.
Dunoon isn't far for shops and places to eat. The Benmore Botanic Garden is a good visit. For a longer day out, you can get over to the Kintyre Peninsula from Portavadie.
You're in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. The whole area is good for walking, cycling, or messing about on the water. You might see deer, red squirrels, that sort of thing.
What's here: it's got a wood burning stove, a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. The garden is enclosed. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs.
