Larch

It's called Larch. It's one of four cottages here, but it's detached. You get your own bit.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped. It's not huge, but it's enough.

The main thing is the view. The patio doors open onto a deck. You look straight out over Loch Long and the hills. It's a good place to sit.

Inside, it's open plan downstairs with a wood burner. The stairs are fine. There's a double bedroom and the bathroom with a shower on the ground floor, which is handy.

You're right in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. The Argyll Forest starts practically at the gate, with plenty of walks and cycle tracks. The shore is about five minutes' walk down the hill.

Dunoon is about a twenty-minute drive for supermarkets, shops, and places to eat. The Benmore Botanic Garden is well worth a trip, it's only ten minutes away. If you fancy a boat trip, you can get cruises from there too.

Portavadie is half an hour's drive. The ferry from there goes over to Tarbert on the Kintyre peninsula. From Tarbert you can get ferries to Islay, Jura, or Arran if you want a day out on an island.

For facilities, you've got the basics covered. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
