Pier Haven is in Blairmore, on the Cowal Peninsula. It's a first-floor apartment that sleeps five. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The view is the main thing, you look right out over the pier and the water.
The living space is open plan and quite big. There's a wood burning stove for cooler nights. You get an enclosed garden at the back, which is handy. It's next to the old village bakehouse ruin, which attracts a lot of birds. You'll see swallows around in the summer.
Blairmore itself is small. There's a local pub a short walk away. For a proper shop, you'd drive to Dunoon, which is about ten minutes. They've got supermarkets, a leisure centre, and a small cinema there.
You're right in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. For walking, Puck's Glen is a must. It's a gorge with waterfalls and ferns, about a ten minute drive. Ardentinny beach on Loch Long is about the same distance. The Cowal Way long-distance path starts nearby if you're keen.
Further out, you can get the short ferry from Colintraive over to the Isle of Bute. Inveraray, with its castle and jail, is about a 40 minute drive. Benmore Botanic Garden is close, maybe 15 minutes by car.
Facilities are all included: WiFi, bedding, towels, washing machine, dishwasher. There's a cot and highchair if needed. You can bring one dog. There's parking. There's also a BBQ in the garden.
