Crubisdale

Crubisdale is in Blairmore, on the Cowal peninsula. It's a detached house up the hill from the shore, so you get a good view down over Loch Long.

It sleeps eight, across four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's a family house, so it's spacious and practical rather than fancy. You can bring two dogs.

The garden is enclosed, which is useful if you've got children or dogs. There's parking for a couple of cars right outside.

You're a five minute walk from the shore. There's no proper beach there, just a pebbly bit, but it's good for throwing stones in the water. The local pub is about the same distance away, down the hill. They do food.

Dunoon is about eight miles, maybe a twenty minute drive. That's where you'll find most of the shops, a couple of swimming pools, and places to eat. The big red ferry from Gourock lands there.

If you want to go walking, you're in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Benmore Botanic Garden is about ten minutes up the road. It's good for a wet day, as a lot of it is under cover. Further on, you can get to Loch Lomond itself in under an hour.

Inside, there's a woodburning stove, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and wifi. The bedding and towels are included. There's also a TV and bike storage if you need it.
