Firwood Apartment is in Kilmun, on the shore of the Holy Loch. It's a ground-floor apartment. We live in the upper apartment, so we're on-site if you need anything. Our dogs are around too.
It sleeps five. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. The second bedroom has a single bed and a set of bunks. There's a separate dining room that looks out over the loch. The floor is a bit uneven in places, just so you know.
You have an enclosed garden at the front. The view is over the water.
We allow up to two dogs. Sorry, no cats.
Kilmun is a small village. There's no shop here. The nearest proper shops are in Dunoon, about six miles away. There's a petrol station with a shop about a mile and a half away. The nearest pub is a similar distance. There's a bus service that runs through.
For walking, you're right on the edge of the hills. Puck's Glen is a popular, atmospheric walk nearby. Benmore Botanic Gardens is well worth a visit. The Loch Eck loop is good for cycling or walking. You can see right over to Islay and Jura from some of the higher points.
In terms of facilities, it's got what you'd expect. WiFi, TV, a dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
