Willow Lodge is a detached bungalow in Kilmun. It looks out over the water, over towards Glen Massan. You can see the loch from the living room window.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. You can bring up to two dogs.
Inside, it's warm and straightforward. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings, a TV, and WiFi. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included, and we've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. Outside, there's a patio area with a garden and parking right there.
You can walk straight from the door into the Argyll Forest, which is part of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Pucks Glen is a really good short walk, with waterfalls. Benmore Botanic Garden is about a mile away, you can walk there. It's got an avenue of giant redwood trees.
Dunoon is about a ten minute drive. That's where you'll find the bigger shops, a leisure centre, and a small cinema. The local pub is in the village, a few minutes' walk away.
If you want to explore, you can drive to Inveraray in under half an hour. The castle and the old jail are there. You can get the ferry from Colintraive over to the Isle of Bute in about twenty minutes. Mount Stuart house on Bute is worth seeing. For sailing, there's an RYA school in Tighnabruaich, which is maybe twenty-five minutes by car.
