Strone House is in Strone, on the Cowal peninsula. It's a big detached house right on the water, looking out over Loch Long and the Holy Loch. Behind you is the Argyll Forest.
It sleeps eighteen. Seven bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It's a 5 Star rating, so everything is high-spec and well looked after. It was fully restored a few years ago.
It’s built for big groups. We get a lot of families, wedding parties, and corporate groups here. You can fit a marquee in the garden if you need to, and Strone church is just next door.
You're in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. The location is good for getting out. You can easily drive to Dunoon for shops and cafes, or go further to Loch Lomond, Inveraray, or Oban. They're all within an hour.
There's a lot to do nearby. Sailing, fishing, golf, walking. The Benmore Botanic Gardens are worth a trip. In summer, you can get the Waverley paddle steamer from Dunoon or Blairmore. You'll see a lot of wildlife around here: deer, red squirrels, sometimes dolphins and eagles.
The house has what you'd expect: a dishwasher, washing machines, WiFi, TVs. All bedding and towels are included. There's plenty of parking. No pets, I'm afraid.
