Stonefield Farm Cottage is in Benmore, which is at the top of Glen Massan. It's a single storey cottage attached to the side of our farmhouse. We're at the end of a long track, so it's quiet.
It sleeps four in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. The decor is simple. It's a proper old farm cottage so the ceilings are low in some rooms, and the doorways are a bit low. Just mind your head.
You can bring pets. We allow up to three. The garden is enclosed but it's not Fort Knox, so if you've got a real escape artist you'll need to keep an eye on them.
From here, you can walk straight out into the glen. There are forestry tracks and paths by the river. You'll see red deer around. Dunoon is about seven miles away for shops, cafes, and a cinema. The Holy Loch and the Firth of Clyde are about twenty minutes by car.
For a day out, you can drive to the botanic gardens at Benmore Botanic Garden. The entrance is just down the road from us. Inveraray is about half an hour's drive, good for the castle and jail. If you fancy a ferry trip, you can get to the Isle of Bute from Colintraive, which is also about half an hour.
What's here: parking right outside, a TV, a washing machine, bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's a BBQ you can use.
