Stonefield Farm Cottage
Stonefield Farm Cottage is our place up in Glen Massan. It's a three bedroom place that sleeps four. One bathroom. It's got the 3 Star rating, so it's clean and comfortable but not luxurious.
The cottage is attached to the main farmhouse on one side. You get your own front door and a bit of garden to use. It's very quiet. You're in the middle of the glen here, so it's all fields and trees around you.
Inside, it's straightforward. The stairs are a bit steep, which is just how these old places are. All the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, TV, and a cot and highchair if you need them. We have parking right outside.
You can bring dogs, up to three. There's a lot of space for them to run.
From the door, you can walk straight into the glen. The tracks go on for miles. You'll see deer. If you want to go to the coast, it's about a twenty minute drive to Loch Eck or down to Dunoon.
For a day out, you can drive to Inveraray in about forty minutes. It's got the castle and jail. The Benmore Botanic Garden is only ten minutes away and is worth a visit. If you want proper mountains, you're about an hour from the southern part of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.
It's a good spot if you want to be away from things and just walk or relax.
