Ardrhu Cottage is a small, detached house just outside Dunoon. It's on a quiet road about a ten minute walk from the town. The garden is enclosed, which is handy.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom with a walk-in shower. The whole place is on one level, so no stairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well equipped.
There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. It has a dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
The local shop and a pub are about 400 yards away. The beach is roughly the same distance. It's a shingle beach, good for a walk.
Dunoon has the usual shops, a leisure centre, and a small cinema. For walking, you're right next to the Argyll Forest, which is part of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. The forest tracks are good for a proper walk or a bike ride.
Within about half an hour's drive you can get to Benmore Botanic Garden, which is impressive. The ferry to the Isle of Bute from Colintraive is about 25 minutes away. Inveraray, with its castle and jail, is also within 30 minutes.
