Strone Lodge
Strone Lodge is an apartment in Strone, near Dunoon. It's part of a larger house but you have it to yourselves. The view is good. You look out over Loch Long to the Clyde.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. We allow up to two dogs. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. It was all redone a few years ago.
You're inside the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The Argyll Forest Park is right behind you. There are miles of forest tracks for walking or cycling straight from the door.
The local shop and a pub are about half a mile away. Dunoon is a short drive. It has supermarkets, more pubs, and places to eat. For a day out, the Benmore Botanic Garden is impressive. In summer, you can get a trip on the Waverley paddle steamer from Dunoon or Blairmore pier.
You can drive to Loch Lomond in under an hour. Inveraray is about the same. Oban is a bit further. The whole area is good for wildlife. You might see deer, seals, or if you're very lucky, dolphins in the loch.
For facilities, there's a garden area, parking, WiFi, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot and a highchair.
