Strone Lodge is a first floor flat above the garage of Stone House. You get the whole floor to yourselves. The views are the main thing. You look right out over Loch Long and the Firth of Clyde.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and recently done up. It was refurbished a few years ago.
The garden area is shared with the main house, but there's a patio bit for you to sit out on.
You're right in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Out the back, the land rises straight into the Argyll Forest. You can walk into the woods from practically the back door.
There's a shop and a pub about half a mile down the road in Strone. Dunoon is a short drive away for more shops and places to eat.
You can see the pier at Blairmore from the windows. In summer, the Waverley paddle steamer calls there. It's a good way to see the coast. The gardens at Benmore Botanic Garden are fantastic, about a fifteen minute drive.
If you want to explore further, you're well placed for the Cowal peninsula. The ferries to the Isle of Bute are close by. Loch Lomond is about forty minutes drive. Oban and Inveraray are within an hour.
Facilities: it has WiFi, parking right outside, and includes bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
