Achnaha is in Ardentinny, on the Cowal peninsula. It's a single-storey, detached bungalow, so all the rooms are on one level and you can park right next to it. The garden is enclosed. The place sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and has what you need.
The village is quiet. There's a pub that does food about a five minute walk away. For a bigger shop, you'll need to drive about three miles to Dunoon. Dunoon has the usual supermarkets, some restaurants, and a pier. You can sometimes get trips on the Waverley paddle steamer from there.
You're right on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Out the back, the garden leads straight into woodland paths, good for a walk with the dogs. Loch Long is a few minutes' walk down the lane. It's a sea loch, so it's salt water.
If you want to go further, Benmore Botanic Gardens is about a 20 minute drive and is worth the trip. You're also well placed for getting to the Rest and Be Thankful pass, or over to the shores of Loch Lomond itself, all within half an hour.
Inside, it's straightforward. There's a woodburning stove, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. It's all on the ground floor and the doors are wide, so it works for wheelchair access. We accept up to two dogs.
