Achnaha is in Ardentinny, on the Cowal Peninsula. It's a single-storey bungalow, detached, so no neighbours on the walls. The garden is enclosed, which is handy.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. Being all on one level and with wheelchair access, it's straightforward for getting around.
The place has a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
There's a pub and a restaurant about five minutes' walk away. The proper shop is in Dunoon, about three miles. Dunoon has what you need: shops, a few more places to eat, a pier.
You're right on the edge of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. The shore of Loch Long is just down the road. The area is good for walking or cycling straight from the door.
Benmore Botanic Gardens are worth the drive. From Dunoon pier, you can sometimes get trips on the Waverley paddle steamer when it's running. If you drive for about half an hour, you can get to the rest of the National Park or over to the shores of Loch Lomond.
You might see red squirrels, deer, or even dolphins out on the loch. It's that kind of place.
