Rosmuire Shandon

Rosmuire is a house near Shandon, on the Gare Loch. It's detached, on a quiet farm road. You've got the place to yourselves along with about three acres of ground. That's gardens, some woodland, and fields. The view looks west over the water to the Argyll Forest hills.

It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped but not overly fancy. The kitchen opens out onto a big decked area that gets the sun.

The garden is fully enclosed and the wider grounds are there to wander. It's very safe for dogs and kids. We welcome up to two pets with no extra charge. Good walks start right from the door.

There's a garage that has table football and some outdoor games like badminton are there to use. You can park about six cars on the drive.

For facilities, it's got a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot and highchair if you need them.

A shop, pub, and restaurant are about a mile and a half away. Helensburgh is ten minutes by car. That's got supermarkets, places to eat, a swimming pool, and a cinema. From the pier there, you can sometimes get trips on the Waverley paddle steamer.

You're a mile from the edge of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. The Loch Lomond Shores visitor centre is 15 minutes away, with shops and boat trips. You can walk part of the West Highland Way or drive to Glencoe for more serious hills within an hour. There are plenty of golf courses, including Loch Lomond.

Glasgow is easily reached by train or car, and Edinburgh or Stirling are within a couple of hours drive for a day out.
