Crosskeys Cottage is in Helensburgh, about two miles from Loch Lomond. It's a detached stone cottage, quite old. They're thick walls, so it stays cool in summer.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up inside so it feels fresh and modern, but it's still a cottage.
You get a grassy garden out the front with a table and chairs and a barbecue. The view looks south towards the Kilpatrick Hills.
There's a cycle path that runs right past the cottage. You can follow it to get to the loch or into Helensburgh town, both about two miles away. It's a good position for exploring the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
If you've got a bigger group, you can book it together with Glenfruin Lodge next door. That sleeps six altogether.
Inside, it's got a wood-burning stove, a TV, and WiFi. There's a washing machine, bedding and towels are included, and we can put a cot in if you need one. You can bring up to two dogs.
From there, you're about half an hour from the top of Loch Lomond. Balloch and Luss are on the lochside and good for a trip out. Glasgow city centre is about 40 minutes by car if you want to go in for the day.
