Rose Cottage
This is Rose Cottage. It's in Arden, near Loch Lomond. It's attached to the main farmhouse where we live, but it's all self-contained for you.
It's a single-storey cottage, so everything is on one level. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It sleeps four people. You're welcome to bring up to two dogs.
The cottage has a 4 Star rating. It's been done up nice and it's comfortable. We've got WiFi and a TV. There's parking right outside, and an electric vehicle charger if you need it.
Outside, there's a decked area with a hot tub. It's a good spot to sit and look out. There's a barbecue there too.
The location is the main thing. You're right in the middle of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. There's a pub about a quarter of a mile up the road. The nearest shop is in Gartocharn, about two miles away.
For things to do, you're spoilt. You can walk straight from the door onto paths. The West Highland Way passes close by if you want a long walk. Ben Lomond is the obvious mountain to climb. You can be at the lochside in a few minutes in the car. Balloch and Lomond Shores are about a 20-minute drive for boat trips, the aquarium, or shops. The Cameron House resort is even closer, about 10 minutes, for golf or a spa day.
If you don't mind a bit more driving, you can get into Glasgow or Stirling in under 45 minutes, and Edinburgh is about an hour and a half.
We've included all the bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair available if you're bringing little ones.
