Springvale is a big Victorian house in Cardross. It's detached, so you have all of it and the garden to yourselves. The Clyde is about 200 yards away down the lane.
It sleeps twelve. Six bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a solid, comfortable family house, not a show home. Some of the doorways and the main stairs are typical for an old house.
The garden is enclosed. There's a patio area with a view down towards the water. Parking for several cars on the gravel drive.
Inside, there's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a woodburning stove in the main sitting room. The entrance and the main living spaces are on the ground floor and are accessible for a wheelchair.
Cardross is a quiet village. There's a shop, a post office, and a pub that does food. The train station is a five minute walk along the shore path. Trains go to Glasgow in about half an hour, or you can go the other way towards Helensburgh and the Highlands.
For a walk, Ardmore Point is two miles away. It's a spit of land with rocks and birds. You can drive there.
Balloch, at the south end of Loch Lomond, is about six miles away. That's the closest bit of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. If you want castles, Dumbarton Castle is five miles away. The National Trust's Geilston Garden is nearby in Cardross itself.
Glasgow is about a 40 minute drive for a day out. Edinburgh and Stirling are both just over an hour away.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair here if you need them.
