Glencairn Road is a bungalow in Langbank, near Port Glasgow. It's detached and looks out over fields towards Dumbarton Rock on the river. You can just about see it on a clear day.
It sleeps six, which is mainly in two bedrooms. The layout is open plan. There are two bathrooms, both with showers. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything is modern and works.
The garden is yours to use. There's parking on the drive. Inside, you've got a washing machine and dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs.
The local pub, which does food, is about five hundred yards away. The nearest shop is two miles, in Langbank itself.
You're well placed for getting about. The train station is in the village and gets you into Glasgow in about half an hour. By car, you can be in the centre in under forty minutes if the traffic's alright.
Heading west, you're about twenty minutes from Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. The park is good for walks and cycling. You can get a ferry over to the Cowal Peninsula from Gourock, which isn't far. The islands like Bute and Cumbrae are a short drive and a ferry trip away.
Going south, you hit the Ayrshire coast. The coastal path starts there. There are plenty of golf courses if that's your thing, including famous ones like Turnberry.
Stirling and Edinburgh are both doable for a day out, about an hour's drive depending on traffic.
