Tarandoun Cottage
Tarandoun Cottage is in Helensburgh. It's part of my house, attached to one side. You have your own entrance. It sleeps four people with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy.
It’s a 4 Star place. That means it’s comfortable and well-equipped. Everything works and it’s clean. The garden is at the back. It’s a sunken garden with a small pond and a lawn, so you need to keep an eye on children.
The cottage looks out over the River Clyde towards Port Glasgow and Greenock. You can watch the ferries and ships from the windows. It’s a short walk down to the water.
There’s a local shop and a pub about half a mile away. The leisure centre is close too, less than a ten minute walk. It has a pool, a gym, and a steam room.
For things to do, you’re right on the edge of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. It’s about a twenty minute drive to get into the park proper for walks. Loch Lomond itself is good for water sports. Glasgow is roughly forty minutes by car if you want a city day. Edinburgh and Stirling are about an hour and a half.
Inside there’s a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. All bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is on the drive. No pets, sorry.
