Ivy Cottage Arden

This is Ivy Cottage. It's a semi-detached, single-storey cottage here on the farm in Arden. It sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's cosy and clean, with an open-plan living area and a wood-burning stove. You can help yourselves to logs from the store outside.

The cottage looks out over the farm courtyard. There's a decent sized patio area with a table and chairs, and it gets the sun in the afternoon. It's your own space.

Inside, it's all on one level so there are no stairs to worry about. There's a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. We have a cot and highchair if you need them. You can park right outside.

We allow up to two dogs. There's an electric vehicle charger on site, you just need to bring your own cable.

The local pub is about a quarter of a mile up the road. It serves food. The nearest shop is in Gartocharn, about two miles away. It's a small Co-op.

You're right in Loch Lomond National Park here. For walking, you can pick up the West Highland Way along the lochside. Ben Lomond is the closest big hill. Cycling is good too, the National Cycle Route 7 goes past. Cameron House resort is about ten minutes by car, they have a golf course and a spa. Lomond Shores at Balloch is about the same distance, they do boat trips on the loch.

Glasgow is around 45 minutes by car if you fancy a day in the city. Edinburgh is about an hour and a half.
