Crossburn Hideaway is ours. It’s a small, single-storey cottage set back off the road in Arden. It sits in our two-acre grounds. You’re on your own, though we live in the main house.
It sleeps three. There's one bedroom with a double, a single sofa bed in the living room, and one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped, not luxurious.
The cottage is detached, so it's private. You've got your own decked area at the front. It catches the sun in the afternoon. You can watch the birds from there. The grounds have streams, a pond, a big lawn, and woodland at the back. You're welcome to wander.
You're right in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The West Highland Way passes close by if you're walking. For a gentler walk, the path along Loch Lomond at Luss is lovely. Luss village is about five minutes' drive.
Golf is nearby if you play. The Lomond and Carrick courses are about a mile away.
Balloch is a short drive. That's where you'll find Loch Lomond Shores, with shops and a Sea Life Centre. Duck Bay Marina has a restaurant with loch views.
You can get into Glasgow in about 35 minutes by car for a day out.
Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Parking is on site. All bedding and towels are included. Sorry, no pets.
