Blairhosh Cottage
This is Blairhosh Cottage. It's a detached cottage on our property, just off our main drive. It's yours completely private while you're here.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and comfortable but not luxurious. It was built a long time ago, so the ceilings are a bit low in the hallways if you're tall. The shower is good though.
There's a woodburning stove in the living room. We leave you some logs to get started. The kitchen has the basics: a hob, oven, fridge, and a washing machine. The WiFi works but it's rural broadband, so don't expect to stream on multiple things at once.
You're in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Balloch village is about a mile and a half away. There's a Co-op there for groceries and a few pubs. The rail station is there too, if you want to get the train into Glasgow without driving.
From Balloch you can get straight onto the loch itself. Loch Lomond cruises leave from there. The start of the West Highland Way is nearby if you're walking.
If you drive along the lochside, you get to Luss and places like that. Cameron House resort is about a ten minute drive. You can get a spa day or a round of golf there if you book ahead.
Glasgow is about 40 minutes in the car if you want a city day. Stirling and Edinburgh are both about an hour's drive.
Outside, there's a patio area with a table and chairs. You can park right next to the cottage. There's a shed if you need to store bikes.
Bedding is included. We can put a cot in one of the bedrooms if you need it. No pets, sorry.
