St Ronan's Place

St Ronan's Place is just outside Drymen. It's in Stirlingshire, proper countryside. The house is a converted barn, detached. You get a private walled courtyard out the back.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's been done to a really high standard. Everything is in good order.

The view from the back is the thing. You look straight out towards Ben Lomond. The cottage is next to our house, but you have your own space. We're here if you need anything.

It's in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The loch itself is about two miles up the road. There are walks everywhere. Duncryne Hill is close by, it's a bit of a climb but the view from the top is worth it, you can see everything.

You can bring dogs, two maximum. There's a stairgate at the bottom of the stairs to keep them downstairs if you want.

In terms of stuff, it's got what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, woodburning stove. There's an electric car charger. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.

Drymen village is under three miles away. There's a shop, a couple of pubs. For a bigger shop, you'd go to Balloch.

Glasgow and Stirling are both about 40 minutes by car if you want a day out in a city. The Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park website has all the walking routes and activity info. For castles and history, Historic Environment Scotland is the one to check.
