This is Auchendennan. It's a collection of cottages just north of Loch Lomond, in Arden. It's part of a working farm, so you'll see sheep in the fields.
There are a few different cottages on the site, each sleeping up to six people. They've all got three bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is handy. They're all single-storey or have the main living space on the ground floor, and a couple are wheelchair accessible. They've been modernised but they're not fancy. They're comfortable.
A few things to note plainly. Some cottages are semi-detached. Burnbeag has a stream running through its garden. A couple of the cottages have a sauna, and all of them have a private hot tub on a decked area. The stairs in the two-storey cottages are typical farmhouse stairs.
You're right in Loch Lomond National Park. The local pub is about a five minute walk. For a bigger shop, you'd drive to Balloch or Drymen, which is about ten minutes away.
For getting out, you're in a good spot. You can walk straight into the woods and down to the loch shore from here. For a proper hike, Ben Lomond is the obvious one. The West Highland Way passes nearby. If you want to be on the water, you can hire boats or take a cruise from somewhere like Balmaha or Luss.
Cameron House resort is about ten minutes down the road if you fancy a spa day or a meal out. Glasgow is about 45 minutes by car if you need a city day. Edinburgh is about an hour and a half.
In terms of what's here: all the cottages have a wood-burning stove, WiFi, TV, a washing machine, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Up to three dogs are welcome. Some cottages have an electric vehicle charger.
