Sandpiper Rest
Sandpiper Rest is in Ellington, which is a quiet village a mile or so inland from Druridge Bay. It's a modern house, finished in 2024, so everything is new and clean. It feels bright and airy inside.
It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one is an en-suite. The main living room is downstairs. French doors open out to a pebbled garden at the back. It's enclosed, so it's safe for dogs or kids. There's off-road parking and an electric vehicle charger.
The kitchen is separate from the living room, which some people prefer. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
You can bring up to two pets. The garden is enclosed, but it's pebbles, not grass.
The local shop and a pub are just a short walk away. The pub does food. For the beach, it's about a mile to Druridge Bay. It's a big stretch of sand, good for walking. Druridge Bay Country Park is right there too.
Newbiggin-by-the-Sea is about ten minutes by car. They have a long promenade. Amble harbour and Morpeth are each roughly a 20-minute drive. For castles, Alnwick Castle and Bamburgh Castle are both under an hour away. The same goes for Holy Island and Seahouses.
This is a 5 Star property, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard. It's not full of antiques, it's just a very comfortable, new house.
