Turtle's Nest is a flat in Newbiggin by the Sea. It's a two-storey place, a duplex. Sleeps five, that's two bedrooms and a sofa bed in the separate dining room. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's a two minute walk to the beach and the promenade.
The stairs inside are open and steep. That's just how it is.
You're right between the village and the sea. The promenade is flat, good for a walk any time. Dolphins are sometimes seen in the bay. The beach here isn't usually busy. There's a golf course on the moor, five minutes away, with good sea views. The sea can be good for surfing, and there's a local place nearby if you want to hire a paddleboard. The village has cafes and a couple of pubs.
Newbiggin has the oldest lifeboat station in England, which is interesting to see.
If you want to explore, Morpeth is about eight miles inland for shops. Whitley Bay and Tynemouth are about half an hour's drive south. Alnwick Castle, Amble, and Bamburgh are all within a 30 to 45 minute drive. The Northumberland coast is very good for walking.
