Mill House is in Trusthorpe, Lincolnshire. It's an old mill house, not huge but it sleeps five. It's got three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The thing about it is it's literally behind the sand dunes. You can walk out the gate and be on the beach in 30 seconds. There's a little path that takes you straight there.
Downstairs there's a kitchen, a living area, and a bathroom. Upstairs are the bedrooms. Everything is decorated in a sort of seaside theme. It feels bright inside. The stairs are fairly steep though, which is just how it was built.
We let you bring up to two dogs. There's an enclosed patio and garden so they can't wander off. There's parking right by the cottage. It's got WiFi and a TV, plus a washing machine and dishwasher. All bedding and towels are included. It's rated 4 Star, so it's comfortable.
The village is small. You can walk along the coast to Sutton on Sea or Mablethorpe. Both are about a mile in either direction. They've got shops, pubs, and a bit more going on. There's horse riding, fishing, and golf nearby if that's your thing.
For a bigger day out, Skegness is about eight miles down the coast. The Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust has some good nature reserves along this stretch. Gibraltar Point near Skegness is worth visiting. If you want to drive inland, the Lincolnshire Wolds are nice for a change from the coast, and about half an hour away by car.
That's about it really. It's a simple place that works because you're so close to the beach.
