Dolgoed House is near the village of Bethlehem, in Carmarthenshire. It's detached, up a country lane, with views over fields and towards Carn Goch hill fort.
It sleeps eight. There are four bedrooms and four bathrooms, all en-suite. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor. That's useful if stairs are a problem for someone. The place has exposed stone and beams, and there's a wood burner for cooler evenings. The garden is large, mostly lawn, with a patio.
It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, wifi, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included.
The local shop, pubs, and a restaurant are about three miles away in Llangadog. Llandeilo is a few miles in the other direction. It's a nice little town with good places to eat and interesting shops.
You're right on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park here. The walking is spectacular, especially up on the Fforest Fawr ridges. You'll see red kites everywhere. Carreg Cennen Castle is a must-visit, it's in a stunning spot. Dinefwr Park is lovely for a walk too. The National Botanic Garden of Wales is well worth a trip, rain or shine.
For a day at the coast, Pembrey Country Park has a long sandy beach, and Kidwelly Castle is impressive. Both are about a 40-minute drive.

No pets, I'm afraid.
