Maes Merlin
Maes Merlin is a barn we converted near Twynllanan in Carmarthenshire. It's on its own, so no neighbours right next door. You've got a decent sized garden that's fully enclosed.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is handy. There's a wet room on the ground floor too. It's got a 5 Star rating, so everything is new and works properly. It is quite open plan inside.
You're right on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The Black Mountain is basically your back garden view. A good walk is up to Llyn y Fan Fach, the lake in the mountains. It's about a 40 minute drive to the Red Kite feeding station at Gigrin Farm if you want to see them.
The nearest proper shops and a pub are in Llangadog, about four miles away. Llandeilo and Llandovery are both nice market towns, about 15 and 20 minutes in the car. They've got cafes and some interesting shops.
For days out, Carreg Cennen castle is a dramatic ruin on a cliff. It's about 20 minutes away. The National Botanic Garden of Wales is a half hour drive, and the Usk Reservoir is good for walking and views, also about half an hour.
Facilities wise, it's got pretty much everything: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a hot tub outside. We can provide a cot and a highchair. There's bike storage if you bring cycles. Sorry, no pets.
