Y Stabl is near Bethlehem in Carmarthenshire. It's a converted stone barn. The name means 'The Stable'. It's detached, so no neighbours to worry about.
It sleeps eleven. There are five bedrooms and, usefully, five bathrooms, each one en-suite. They're all made up with bedding and towels before you arrive. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor.
The place has a wood-burning stove. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. You get a large lawned garden and a patio with furniture. Parking is on site.
The views are over open farmland towards an Iron Age hill fort called Carn Goch. You'll often see red kites around here.
You're a few miles from Llandeilo and Llangadog. Both have decent pubs and places to eat. The nearest shop is about three miles away.
You're in the west of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Good walking is right on the doorstep, especially in the Fforest Fawr Geopark. Carreg Cennen Castle is a dramatic ruin nearby. The National Botanic Garden of Wales with its big glass dome is worth a trip. For a day at the coast, Pembrey has a long sandy beach, which is about a 40 minute drive.
