Owl Cottage
Owl Cottage is one of ours on the farm, Maesydderwen. It's in Cwmifor, just outside Llandeilo. We're up on a hill here, so you get good views over the fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not huge but properly sorted. Everything's on one level except the bedrooms, so the stairs are just for sleeping. We live in the main house on site, so we're around if you need anything.
The cottage has its own enclosed garden with a patio and a barbecue. There's a hot tub as well, which is a hit with most people. You get towels and bedding included, and there's a washing machine. We allow two dogs. There's bike storage if you bring them.
You can walk straight out from the cottage into the lanes and fields. We get a lot of birds here, like woodpeckers and red kites overhead. The Brecon Beacons National Park is right on the doorstep for longer walks.
Llandeilo is about three miles away. It's a nice little town with shops, a few pubs that do food, and some decent cafes. The nearest shop and pub are about that distance too, so you'll likely need the car.
If you're driving out, Carreg Cennen castle is a dramatic ruin about 20 minutes away. The National Botanic Garden of Wales is about a half hour drive and is good for a stroll whatever the weather. The coast is further, about an hour.
