Y Cwtsh
Y Cwtsh is in the middle of Llandeilo, on the main street. It's a terraced cottage painted a nice dark blue. The name means 'the snug' or 'the cubbyhole' in Welsh, which suits it.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one kingsize and one double, and a family bathroom with a bath and a shower over it. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's a bit nicer inside than some. It's been done up well. The stairs are normal.
Downstairs is all one open plan room. Kitchen at the back, dining table in the middle, living space at the front. There's a Smart TV and the WiFi is decent. The front door opens straight onto the pavement, but there's a small, walled courtyard out front with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the morning.
Being right in the town, you're steps from the shops and cafes. The famous chocolate shop is just down the road. There's a good butcher, a baker, and some nice places to eat. You won't need to drive for a coffee or a pint.
For walks, you can walk straight out into Dinefwr Park. It's about a 20 minute stroll through the town to get to the main entrance. You'll see the deer and Newton House there. For a drive, Carreg Cennen Castle is about 15 minutes away. It's a proper ruin on a cliff edge. The National Botanic Garden is maybe a 20 minute drive. Aberglasney Gardens are closer, about 10 minutes.
If you want to head into the Brecon Beacons, the Llyn y Fan Fach walk is about half an hour north by car. It's a good one.
Facilities: it's got a washing machine, a dishwasher, and an electric vehicle charger round the back. Bedding and towels are included. There's space to store bikes. No pets, sorry.
