Marlais is a place we converted from an old milking parlour on the farm. It’s semi-detached. You’ll need a car to get here, there’s no bus.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles. Two bathrooms, one with a shower, one with a bath. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s comfortable and well-equipped. The Wi-Fi is fine for browsing.
The main thing is the view. It looks straight out over the valley towards the Brecon Beacons. There’s a patio with a table and a BBQ if you want to sit outside.
You’re between Llandovery and Llandeilo. Both are about five miles away for shops and pubs. The nearest pub is about five minutes’ drive.
You’re right on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. Good walking straight from the door, or a short drive to get into the proper hills. If you want to plan routes, the Brecon Beacons National Park website is useful.
Within half an hour you can get to the National Botanic Garden of Wales, which is impressive. The coast at Pembrey is about 40 minutes away if you fancy the beach.
Facilities are all there: washing machine, TV, bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot if you need it. Parking for two cars right outside. No pets, sorry, because of the farm.
