Cwtch Ty Gwyn is on our land, just outside Llandeilo. It's detached and faces south, so you get good sun and a long view over the fields towards the Brecon Beacons.
It sleeps six. There are two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom, plus a sofa bed in the living area. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's very well equipped and finished. The main space is open plan, with a raised kitchen area. The ceiling has glass, which lets a lot of light in.
If you use the sofa bed, there are no blinds over that glass, so the room will get light early. Some people like that. It's good for stargazing at night, as we're in a Dark Sky Reserve.
The garden is enclosed, with a slate patio and some grass. We allow up to two dogs. There are sheep and cows in the field opposite, so it's best to keep dogs on a lead unless they're in the garden. Parking is right next to the cottage.
Llandeilo is about a fifteen minute walk away, down the hill and over the old stone bridge. The town has good shops, a few nice places to eat, and a famous chocolate shop. There's a National Trust property, Dinefwr, on the edge of town with a castle, a house, and deer in the park.
Within half an hour you can get to the National Botanic Garden and Aberglasney Gardens. The coast, around Pendine and Llansteffan, is about thirty minutes by car if you fancy the beach.
For facilities: it has a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, and an electric car charger. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
