Ysgubor Fawr
Ysgubor Fawr is one of three cottages here in the yard at Blaenllynnant Farm, near Capel Gwynfe. It's a converted stone barn. It sleeps eight, four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.
It's a 5 Star place, which means it's done to a high standard. Large spaces, big stone fireplaces. The dining room is huge, with a table that seats twenty and a gallery above it. The kitchen opens onto the courtyard. Two of the bedrooms also have direct access outside.
The views are of the Black Mountain range. You see red kites and buzzards a lot.
You're right in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The farm itself has good walks, and Carreg Cennen Castle is close by. Garn Goch, an Iron Age fort, is about three miles away for good views. You can drive to Llandeilo or Llangadog for pubs and restaurants.
For a day out, the coast is within reach, or places like the National Botanic Garden of Wales and Aberglasney Gardens. Dinefwr is in Llandeilo.
Facilities: it's got everything on the list really. Oil central heating, wood burner, WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. All bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. Plenty of parking. No pets.
It's easy to get to, just off the A40 and not far from the end of the M4.
