Ysgubor Fawr is a barn conversion on a farm just outside the village of Capel Gwynfe. It sits in its own bit of garden with a couple of other cottages around a yard. The views are across to the Black Mountain.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's done up to a high standard. It's a big space. The main living room and dining room are both double-height with stone fireplaces. The dining room has one of those minstrel's gallery things above it and a huge table. The kitchen leads out to the courtyard.
You're properly in the Brecon Beacons here. The farm has its own walks. Carreg Cennen Castle is nearby, which is a ruin on a cliff edge. The Brecon Beacons National Park site has walking routes. Garn Goch, which is an old hill fort, is about three miles away and the views from there are good.
Llandeilo is the nearest town for shops and places to eat, about six miles. It's got Dinefwr Castle and Aberglasney Gardens too. The National Botanic Garden of Wales is within half an hour. For a day by the sea, the Gower or Pembrokeshire coast are both about an hour's drive.
In terms of what's here: it's got oil central heating, a wood burner, parking, wifi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. No pets.
