Siskin Cottage
Siskin Cottage is out near Cwmifor, just outside Llandeilo in Carmarthenshire. It's one of seven cottages on an old farm site with about 42 acres. You get fields, a couple of lakes, and some woodland to walk around. You'll see red kites and deer.
The cottage sleeps ten. Five bedrooms, four bathrooms. Two of the doubles have their own ensuite showers. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The layout is a bit split-level, so there are a couple of steps down from the dining area to the living room.
Outside there's a large patio with seating, a barbecue, and a seven-person hot tub.
You can walk straight from the doorstep. The Beacons Way path is about a mile away. Llandeilo is a little over three miles for shops and pubs. A good one is about three miles.
For days out, the Dinefwr estate is close. So is Carreg Cennen castle. The National Botanic Garden of Wales is about 11 miles away and is worth a visit. The Brecon Beacons National Park is right on your doorstep for walking. The red kite feeding station at Llanddeusant is a 20-minute drive.
In terms of what's there: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and on-site parking. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
