Sherrifs Lodge is in Sardis, near Llangadog. It's a 3 Star place, which means it's comfortable and clean but not posh. It's one of two cottages that share a cobbled courtyard. You get your own enclosed garden.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. The stairs are a standard cottage set, so they turn a corner and are a bit steep. There's a stairgate at the top if you need it.
You're right on the edge of the Brecon Beacons here. The views are good, just fields and hills. It's quiet. You'll see red kites and buzzards about. The Red Kite Feeding Centre is nearby if you want a guaranteed look.
For a pub or a shop, you need to go into Llangadog, which is about three miles. Llandovery is the same distance the other way, that's an old market town. Llandeilo is a bit further, about nine miles. It's a nice drive and the town has some interesting shops and a castle.
If you like gardens, the National Botanic Garden of Wales and Aberglasney are both within half an hour. Good walking and cycling starts pretty much from the door. You can fish in the local rivers too.
Facilities: there's a woodburning stove, which we leave you some logs for. Parking is right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
