Henllys Lodge

Henllys Lodge is near the village of Siloh in Carmarthenshire. It's a detached house with a big garden. The views are over fields and trees.

It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms. Three doubles, two with their own wet rooms, and a bunk room. There's another family bathroom too. It's got a 5 Star rating from Visit Wales. It's very comfortable and well finished.

The place was rebuilt to be eco-friendly. It has underfloor heating from a ground source heat pump, so it's always warm underfoot. The floors are local oak. It's very well insulated.

Downstairs is mostly open plan. The kitchen has a Rangemaster, a big fridge-freezer, and a dishwasher. The living area has a wood-burning stove in the middle that you can see from both sides. There's a TV with Freeview, a table football table, and lots of books and games. Wi-Fi is good. French doors lead out to a slate patio with a barbecue.

Outside, the garden is mostly lawn with some flower beds. There's a wildlife pond at the bottom. We get a lot of birds. You'll often see red kites overhead. There's off-road parking for at least three cars, and an EV charger. There's also a locked shed for bikes.

For things to do, the National Botanic Garden of Wales is about 25 minutes away. The coast around Llansteffan and Pendine Sands is within half an hour. The Brecon Beacons National Park is to the east, about a 40 minute drive. There are lots of good walks straight from the door.
