Pant Y Bryn Bach is a holiday cottage for two, near Cilycwm in Carmarthenshire. It used to be a Welsh longhouse. It's detached, so you're on your own. The building is old but the conversion inside is very good.
It’s small. Just one bedroom upstairs and a bathroom. Downstairs is all open plan: kitchen, dining area, and living space with the wood burner. The standard is comfortable and clean.
You get the views. They look out over the valley towards the Black Mountains. There’s a garden and a patio with a barbecue.
It’s a quiet spot. For a pub, you’ll need to drive about three miles. Llandovery is three miles the other way. It's a small town with shops and it's right on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The walking from here is excellent. You can drive up to the Llyn Brianne reservoir and the RSPB reserve.
If you want a day out, you can go to Llandeilo, which is about eleven miles. It has shops and cafes and is known for the gardens at Aberglasney. Further afield, you’re well placed for the whole Beacons.
The facilities are what you’d expect: bedding and towels are provided, there’s a washing machine, TV, WiFi, and parking right outside. You can’t bring pets.
