Benchwood House is a detached house on the edge of a wood near Guestling. It's in the High Weald, which is classed as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's very well done up and has things like underfloor heating. There's a spiral staircase to the upstairs rooms, so watch your head if you're tall.
The garden is private and has a few different spots to sit, including a fire pit. You can see a lot of sky, which is good because it's a dark sky area here. It gets properly dark at night.
You're about five miles from the coast. Hastings and its old town are a short drive away. Rye is also close, maybe ten minutes. It's got cobbled streets and lots of history. The Rye Harbour Nature Reserve is good for a walk and seeing birds.
The Hastings Country Park is near, and it has miles of cliff-top paths. If you want a bigger day trip, the South Downs National Park is within half an hour.
Inside, it's all open-plan downstairs. Big windows looking out at the fields. There's a wood burner, a dishwasher, a washing machine, wifi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
