Jack's House is in Hastings Old Town, right on the street. You park directly outside. Step out the front door and you're straight into the cobbled lanes.
It's a tall, thin house. The ground floor is open plan, with the kitchen and a dining area. The stairs go up from there to the first bedroom, then carry on up to the second bedroom and bathroom at the very top. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after.
The main bedroom has a sea view. The second bedroom is at the back, looking over the rooftops. The stairs are quite steep, as you'd expect in an old townhouse.
Hastings is good for a wander. The Old Town has lots of little pubs and shops in the twittens. The modern town centre is about a fifteen minute walk. The beach and the pier are close, maybe a ten minute walk down the hill.
Within half an hour you can drive to Rye, which is nice for pottering about. Eastbourne is along the coast. For a walk inland, the High Weald area is about thirty minutes north. Bodiam Castle is just over half an hour away.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a small patio area out the back. One well-behaved dog is welcome. It's listed as having wheelchair accessible entrance and on-site parking.
