Jack's House is on a road in the old town part of Hastings, about a ten minute walk from the beach. You can park right outside, which is a help round here.
It's a tall, thin terrace house. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms over two floors. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's been done up nicely inside. The stairs are open tread and go up the middle of the house. They're quite steep.
The ground floor is open plan, with the kitchen and a dining space. The first bedroom is on the next floor up, and the second bedroom and bathroom are on the top floor. You get a patio garden out the back.
The old town is the interesting bit. There are a lot of small pubs and independent shops in the network of lanes, or twittens as they're called here. The modern town centre and the pier are a walk east along the seafront. St Leonards is west, towards Warrior Square.
Within a half hour drive, you have Eastbourne to the west. To the north, you're into the High Weald countryside pretty quickly. Battle Abbey is about twenty minutes inland. Bodiam Castle is around thirty minutes away.
As for facilities, it has a washing machine, dishwasher, TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking. It's listed as having a wheelchair accessible entrance and allows one pet.
