Seagull's Nest is in Hastings Old Town. It's a small two-bedroom cottage that sleeps three. The rating is 3 Star, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious.
The main thing is the view. You can see the sea from every window. It's right on a quiet street in the Old Town, opposite the house they used for Foyle's War. The TV crew filmed from the doorstep.
You're about a minute's walk from the beach with the fishing boats. The local shops, pubs, and cafes are all within a hundred yards or so. There's a small independent cinema about 150 yards away.
The stairs are quite steep, as they often are in these old cottages. Something to be aware of.
For getting out, East Hill is a five minute walk. That's the cliff with the lift. You can walk for miles along the top. Rye is a drive or a long coastal walk away. Battle Abbey is about twenty minutes by car. You can be in Brighton in under an hour if you fancy it.
The cottage has WiFi and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a dishwasher. No pets, sorry.
