Mouse House is in Hastings Old Town, about 150 yards from the beach. It's an old fisherman's cottage from 1841. It's Grade II listed, so there are beams and brick walls still showing.
It sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's 4 Star, so it's comfortable and finished nicely. The stairs are in the description for a reason, they're steep and narrow. It's just how it is.
There's a little decked courtyard out the back. It gets the evening sun and it's quite private.
You're right in the middle of things. Shops and restaurants are 200 yards away. There's a pub about 25 yards from the door. The beach is a two minute walk.
In Hastings you've got the funicular railways up to the cliffs and the castle. The Battle of Hastings site at Battle is a 20 minute drive. Batemans, Rudyard Kipling's house, is about half an hour away. For a bigger day out, Brighton is 45 minutes along the coast.
It has a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking is included. Bedding and towels are provided. You can bring one dog.
