The Garden Flat
The Garden Flat is a flat behind our house in Hastings. You get your own front door, down a few steps at the side. It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and everything's in good order.
The main room has double doors that open onto a private patio. It's walled in, so it's quiet. There's a table and chairs out there. The flat gets a lot of light.
A shop is about five minutes walk away. The nearest pub and a restaurant are even closer, just around the corner. The seafront is about a 15 minute walk. You can walk all along the promenade from St Leonards to Hastings Old Town.
The Old Town is the interesting bit. The net shops on the beach and the fishing boats are there. There are a lot of pubs and restaurants in that area. You can get fresh fish off the beach. The town has a cinema and the usual shops as well.
For history, Battle Abbey is about 20 minutes away by car. The English Heritage site has the details. The Hastings Country Park is on the cliffs east of town, good for walks. The National Trust looks after some places nearby, like Bodiam Castle, which is about half an hour's drive.
The flat has a washing machine, WiFi, and all bedding and towels are included. Parking is on the street outside. No pets, sorry.
