Lakeview Lodge

This is Lakeview Lodge. It's one of two glamping pods, or lodges, we have on the farm here in Crowhurst. It's detached, you get your own bit of space.

It sleeps five. There's a kingsize bed in the main room, which is all open plan, and then a separate small bedroom with three single bunk beds. One bathroom with a shower. It's rated 5 Star, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard. It feels new and clean.

The main thing is the view. You look out over our farmland to a lake. It's very quiet. There's an outdoor seating area with a fire pit you can cook on.

We're a working arable farm. You'll see tractors sometimes. The pod is right by a public footpath that leads down into Coombe Valley, which is good for walks or cycling.

The village pub is about a ten minute walk. Crowhurst station is close, trains go to London. The historic town of Battle is about ten minutes by car. They've got shops and cafes. Battle Abbey is there.

Hastings and the coast is a fifteen to twenty minute drive. Beach, pier, the usual seaside things.

For other days out, Bodiam Castle is about half an hour away. So is Scotney Castle. Bewl Water is good for walking or cycling round the reservoir, that's about twenty minutes.

Inside, it's got a kitchen with a dishwasher, a TV, and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. We allow one well-behaved dog.

You can park right next to the pod.
