Breedsmoor Cottage

Breedsmoor Cottage is in Ore village, which is part of Hastings. It's a residential area, not right in the middle of town. The house itself is a two-up two-down sort of place. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable and well looked after.

You're about a ten minute drive from the seafront and beach. There are local shops and a couple of pubs within a five minute walk. We've left a list of our usual recommendations in the cottage.

The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing a dog. We allow one well-behaved pet. There's parking on the drive.

One of the best things is you can walk straight into the Hastings Country Park from Ore. It's miles of cliffs and coastal paths. Really good for a proper walk without having to get in the car. Hastings Country Park has maps if you want to plan ahead.

Hastings old town is about a ten minute drive. That's where the castle is, and the fishing beach with the net huts. The English Heritage site for Hastings Castle has the opening times. The town has the usual seaside things, like the aquarium and the Smugglers Adventure caves.

Inside, there's a washing machine, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them.

For a day out, Battle and its abbey are about twenty minutes' drive. 1066 Battle of Hastings Abbey and Battlefield is the one. Rye is roughly half an hour away, which is nice for a wander.
