Moray Hastings View is on the seafront in St Leonards, Hastings. It's a first floor apartment in a grand Georgian terrace. You can see the Channel straight out of the windows.
The main thing about it is the view. The living room faces south over the sea. There are french doors that open onto a small balcony, so you get the sound of the waves and the sea air. Inside, it's clean and modern, but it's got some of the old features like the fireplace. It's open plan, which means it's one big space for the living, dining, and kitchen areas. The dining table extends to seat six.
Honestly, it says it sleeps six or seven, but there's only one proper bedroom. That's a family room with a double bed and bunk beds. The sofa in the living room is also a double bed. So it's best suited for a family or a group who don't mind that setup. It's got a 4 Star rating. One bathroom.
The location is very easy. You're right opposite the promenade. The beach is a couple of minutes walk. There's a shop and a restaurant about 100 yards away, and a pub 200 yards. You can walk along the front into Hastings centre, or up into the Old Town.
Hastings is busy. There are amusement arcades, the pier, mini golf, and plenty of pubs and restaurants. If there's an event on the seafront, like the bonfire night or the carnival, you can watch it from the window. The Old Town has the fishing boats and the net shops, and the cliffs at East Hill.
For history, the 1066 Battle of Hastings site is at Battle Abbey, about a 20 minute drive inland. The Bodiam Castle is about half an hour away by car.
In terms of what's there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, bedding and towels are included. There's a travel cot if you need it. You can bring up to two dogs. Parking is on the street; you'd need a permit, which we can sort.
