The Cottage is in Fairlight. It's on the side of our house, a three-storey apartment, but it's completely separate and private. You get the view out over our garden and down to the sea. It's a good spot, in the AONB.
It's a four star place, sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The stairs inside are a bit of a feature. They're open-tread and spiral, so quite steep and narrow in parts. Just something to be aware of.
You're welcome to use the grounds, which is about two acres with a bit of woodland. There's a patio and a BBQ for you as well. Facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, parking. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
The local shop is about a five minute walk, the pub is ten. Hastings is a short drive away, a few miles. You've got the Old Town there and the seafront. Good walking country around here, including the 1066 Country Walk. National Trust Sussex has a lot of nearby spots.
If you fancied a day out, Rye is about twenty minutes by car. Bodiam Castle is maybe half an hour. The coast is right there too, along the cliffs towards Hastings Country Park.
