Newhope

Newhope is in Winchelsea Beach, right on the coast road. It’s a detached, modern bungalow. The main thing you get is privacy and your own space.

It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom with a shower. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s well-finished and comfortable. The whole place is on one level and the doors are wide, so it’s suitable if you use a wheelchair or just don’t want any stairs.

You have a private, enclosed courtyard garden out the back. It gets the sun. The patio doors open right out onto it, which is nice. There are two parking spaces right outside.

The beach is about a three minute walk. It’s shingle. For sand, you need to drive to Camber Sands, which is about ten minutes away. There’s a shop a few minutes walk up the road, and a pub and a restaurant about the same distance the other way.

Rye Harbour Nature Reserve is a mile down the road. It’s good for birdwatching and flat walks. The ruins of Camber Castle, which Henry VIII built, are nearby too. The historic towns of Rye and Hastings are each about a ten to fifteen minute drive.

In terms of what’s here: there’s a TV, a washing machine, bedding and towels are included, and there’s parking. You can bring one dog. The garden is enclosed.
