Blenheim Cottage is on a working farm a couple of miles outside Rye. It's a sheep and fruit farm, so there are fields and an apple orchard you can walk through to join the public footpaths. In spring you'll see lambs under the blossom.
The cottage itself sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's open plan downstairs. The stairs are fine, but there's a stairgate at the top if you need it.
You're on the farm, so it's quiet. The nearest shop and pub are in Rye, about two miles away. Rye's the main thing locally. It's an old town with cobbled streets, places to eat, and views over the marshes. It has various festivals through the year.
The coast is close. Camber Sands is about six miles away for a proper beach day. Winchelsea beach is a bit closer, about three miles. Rye Harbour Nature Reserve is great for a walk.
If you want to go out for the day, Bodiam Castle and Sissinghurst Castle Garden are within half an hour's drive. National Trust South East has details for a lot of places. The Kent & East Sussex Railway steam train goes to Bodiam. Battle Abbey is about a 25 minute drive.
Things here: parking, WiFi, TV, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair and a cot. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a BBQ outside.
